A table for ten. Hay bales for extra seating, two long planks to dress, gold-rimmed glassware with linens left raw—the contrast of playfully formal and found bring their own stories to the tablescape. Every linen presented as perfectly folded with silverware brightly polished, plates and glassware elegant. An invitation to draw chairs close and share a long table. Flowers from gardens and growers nearby, string lights to soften into the evening, give guests that time to linger.

Hours before, the conditioning and fluffing of flowers, making centerpieces and bouquets begin. There are elegant invitations, menus and way-finding signage to design, produce and deliver.

It all began with a small winery in Healdsburg, California. Hosting black-ties and socials while navigating hand trucks and wine cases—I embraced the passion and toil required for an agricultural entity to thrive and the heart of hosting. And yes, even then I was a perfectionist!
